The Social Stylist Podcast
The Social Stylist Podcast is THE place to be for beauty entrepreneurs looking to grow and scale their brands on social media! Lindsey grew her beauty business to multiple six figures during her 12 years behind the chair. During those 12 years, she learned how to navigate the beauty business as an introvert and master that in-person connection. But after becoming a mom, she knew she needed to pivot to focus on her other great love - marketing. She was surrounded by some of the most talented hair stylists in the business. But all of their marketing looked the same. So she dug in and mastered her marketing by finding a fresh approach that felt authentic. Now, she is a social media manager and strategist for beauty entrepreneurs and she's providing a peak behind the curtain in this one-of-a-kind podcast. With each episode, she'll be sharing actionable steps you need to take to claim your confidence in the online space. Exclusive guest interviews with some of the people Lindsey respects the most will transform the way you think about entrepreneurship. You can also expect to hear about all the messy, uncomfortable lessons she has learned along the way!

13. “F*ck Your Fear”: Real Talk with Sarai, the Platinum Giraffe
Welcome back to the second season of The Social Stylist Podcast! If you’ve ever asked the question “what’s an ‘appropriate’ way for me to show up?” this episode is for you. Today’s guest is going to break you out of that box you’ve put yourself in and say “fuck your fear.” Can you guess who i’m talking about?
We’re back with a bang with a very special guest: Sirai, AKA “The Platinum Giraffe.” Sirai has been making waves in the hair industry by leading with unapologetic authenticity and no f*cking fear. Her community, The Balanced Stylist Society, is taking hair education beyond technique and into self-care and embodiment.
Sirai has an incredible capacity for staying open and bringing her darkest moment to light. She makes a lovely distinction that I want to pull out for you here: “Vulnerability is sharing what you're currently going through.Transparency is sharing what you've been through.” So she shares what it was like to tell her audience her current struggles with an eating disorder and how that felt entirely different than sharing past struggles.
I’m so excited for you to tune in because I really you’re going to feel lighter and more audacious by the end of this episode!
In this episode, we cover:
- The importance of holding space for mental health while running a business
- Taking messy and imperfect action to build genuine connections
- The value of sharing personal struggles and stories with your audience.
- Balancing social media consumption and creating intentional content.
